@jvitak I read through that and didn’t process past “Wow, you went on sabbatical after getting tenure?Cool!”

I’ve been hit really hard for service work and some of it is in my discipline. I’ve stepped back from a lot in my 2nd year of tenure asking the kinds of questions you laid out.
